Heatwave Make-up Must Haves

Who the heck left the oven door open? If you're currently not residing in Jozi, you may have missed the memo that there is the mother of all heatwaves hitting us...and it's only October. I myself much prefer the cold weather, but living in South Africa, that's a bit too much to ask for.

So today is a glorious glorious day, today is the day we celebrate one of the greatest inventions known to man kind. An invention so grand that mere mortals bow down to it's greatness on a daily basis. An invention to majestic, it could make a grown man weep...what is said invention I speak of? Well ladies and gentleman, today we celebrate coffee! October 1st 2015 is the first official International Coffee Day! So what better way to celebrate than creating a snazzy little coffee that looks like a mission to make but is actually super easy :) I introduce to you  the Frozen Nutella Chocolate Coffee!

Hello lovelies...sorry for the silence over the last week, I have had an unfortunate family emergency this past week, so I decided to take some time off. If you follow me on Twitter you can keep up to date with what's potting in my life.

But we have been given a brand spanking shiney new week and I plan to use this week productively!

Good Monday morning lovelies, boy am I glad that it's a new week!

If you follow me on Twitter you will know that last week was a rough week for me. I had a few highs and some very low lows. I think what mainly got me down was that I had my heart set on a few things that I was almost certain would pull through and then at the last minute they didn't, and that is unfortunately what you go through when you own your own business. Not everyday is the same, which is a good and a bad thing sometimes.

I am also currently without my laptop, she is in laptop hospital and I'm hoping I will have her home sooner than expected, so for now I will be using my Boyfies PC, and let's just say it's taking some getting used to :)

It's no secret that there is a lot of sadness happening in our beautiful South Africa lately, and for many of us I'm sure we feel helpless with how we can help.

If you would like to help with donations or financially, please head over to Gift of the Givers (click here), but there is also a lot we can do within ourselves. A friendly hello to a stranger, a smile even some spare change can help turn someones day around, give them hope and show them that there are better days in life than all the sadness.

{Weekend Wanderings}...Avon April Breakfast

I was invited to attend an Avon breakfast by my friend Angel, so I could view what Avon had in store for their April collection.

I'm relatively new to the Avon scene, I've had a few eyeliners here and there and one or two of their eyeshadow duos, but no serious make up investment here. Needless to say, I was excited to see what Avon had to offer and to try out some of their products.

If you're not familiar with what an Avon meet up is like, they are all different as it depends solely on the agent who is selling. I have been to one viewing before this one, and wasn't very impressed as to how things were done...but I know Angel and how she works and was excited to see what she had in store. I wasn't disappointed :)

I have taken some shots for you to see how she did things, so you can get the over all feel of the day. As well as being able to get my grubby little paws on some pre-released April makeup :)

{Face Care Friday} Freeman Cucumber Peel-Off Mask

IT'S FRIDAY!!!! Just a couple more hours and it will officially be the weekend and people can't judge you for wearing a onesie and not washing your hair...hooray!

Today I am going to introduce you to what is fast becoming a beauty favourite among many a beauty blogger...please join me in welcoming Freeman's Cucumber Peel - Off Mask!

This mask is so perfect after a long tiring week. It is formulated for normal to combination skin (combo skin right here!)

I was a little hesitate to try this mask, I have an extremely vivid nightmare of when I was a young warthog trying out another peeling mask, my skin ended up breaking out and going all blotchy and gross! But not with this one my friends!

There are a bunch of amazing ingredients jammed into this very generous sized tube (175ml). My favourite part of this mask is what happens once the mask has dried. No "rinse gently with warm water" none of that " scrub in circular motions " no my friends, this mask you get to PEEL OFF!!! Like peeling off a layer of your own skin, I know I know that sounds gross, but it's one of the most satisfying feelings E-VER! Besides the peeling feeling being awesome, it also pulls out any gross goodies that make comfy homes for themselves in your pores. Once all the little pore invaders have been removed, Aloe Vera and cucumber come in to soothe and moisturise your skin.

The mask has a clear gel consistency, so you may end up looking really creepy once it dries! Your probably also wondering about the smell, and I am happy to report it smells like a fresh summers morning...so cucumber and aloe vera :)

As if I could rave about this product more, it fits perfectly into my stingy little budget, with an awesome price tag of R 64, 95 at your nearest Dischem! I can't wait to try more of Freeman's masks, I have my eyes on their Pineapple Enzyme Mask and their Pink Grapefruit Exfoliating Scrub!

Happy Chooseday guys! So as yesterday was a lazy public holiday and the large majority of us were chilling on the couch not doing much, I thought this post would serve more motivational today :)

How was your Easter? Did you have a hunt? How many chocolate coma's did you have this weekend? Lets just say my diet took a turn for the worst :P
