Another month has flown past, and I'm struggling to wrap my head around it! July was an amazing month, I got the chance to do a bunch of cool things, meet awesome people and try some new and exciting products.
This month I will be showing you my favourites that all come in individually under R 200, some even under R 100!
You know the deal with this speil, let's get straight into it!
I hopped on Twitter at the beginning of July asking my much loved beauty friends what foundation they would recommend that wouldn't break the bank and worked on ridiculously pale skin. My fellow paley friend Sarah over at Mascara and Mimosas recommended I try this one. So off I went to Clicks and picked up shade 100 Ivory and set off home. What I noticed about this foundation, even before application, was the smell. For me most foundation have a gross smell, but for some reason this one smells fresh, well to me at least! I love how it works seamlessly into the skin, blends easily and leaves you with a dewy glow. It has a light to medium coverage that is easily build able. And at R140, it won't break the bank!
As you will know from last weeks post, I absolutely love the little pot of wonder that is Dirty Worx 8-in-1 Miracle Cream. With it's amazingly fresh scent and beyond awesome hydrating qualities, it's a given that it would be part of this month's monthly favourites. I've used it morning and night and a little goes a long way. I picked this up at Clicks for R69 on their sale, although I have been told not all Click's stores stock Dirty Worx, so make sure you give your branch a call before you go searching!
Next up, Baby Oil...yeah you heard me...Baby Oil. I have been doing this little trick since High School. I absolutely can't stand putting moisturiser on my skin, I hate how it makes my clothes stick, how it makes my limbs slippery if I sweat and I just can't stand the tediousness of rubbing it in. So short of walking around with scaley winter skin, I had to find something that would work. I thought baby oil would most likely work as little humans have it on their skin all day and they seem relatively happy...and so the idea was born. I love the fact that as I hop out the shower I plop some of this on my skin, it absorbs almost immediately. The scent doesn't hang around and I'm left feeling moisturised but not basted! And the best part is you can pick up a little one for R29 and a giant one for R79 right at your local supermarket, ain't that a treat!
I'm not sure if I have some allergy problem going on or if it's just severe lack of sleep, but lately I wake up with ridiculous bags under my eyes, so much so that I am now forming eye-bag wrinkles! So to try and combat this nonsense Ive started using this Gel Eye Mask from Sorbet. I pop it in my fridge over night and when I wake up in the morning the gel beads work their magic and try get rid of these weird eye bags. My mom bought me this one as a gift, but I know she bought it from Clicks, if you're interested. If you know of any brilliant eye creams, please let me know!!
Last up on this months favourites is a little tart from Yankee Candle. I very rarely purchase a full sized candle from Yankee Candle (unless is Fluffy Towels) because I get bored with scents very quickly. So I love to purchase the little tarts and change them out to suit my mood. One that I have been loving in this chilly winter month is Fireside Treats. It's a sweeter scent, reminiscent of toasted marshmallows. I picked this little guy up for R40! Perfect for those cosy winter evenings with a good book!
There you have it, what I loved this month and all fitting into a reasonable budget!
What were your favourites this month?
Until next time...
I wish that Rimmel foundation had more shades available!

I have also been noticing that my eyes feel a lot more puffy lately so maybe it is allergies. And will definitely try the Rimmel foundation as I usually have skin paler than the lightest shades available which sucks! Great post x
