So today's motivational Monday post is taking a different turn :) With Easter coming up this weekend, and whether you celebrate it or not, it is a time to spend with family!

Family isn't necessarily your blood, it can be your friend family, you kitty family, your work family..the lists are endless. So spend some time with the ones you love and let them know how much you love them :)

Who is the blogger who inspires you the most?

I know a few of us may have the same answer on this one, but I love Lauren Conrad. I love how her and her team blog about anything they want to, whatever interests them. Thats the vision for my blog, I want to keep working outside of the box and having fun with what I'm doing.

What is the 1 item on your wish list that you are most excited about owning?

I have a current obsession with getting a DSLR camera with a Sigma 30mm 1.4 lense. For years I have wanted to own an amazing camera and take the images that I see in my head and make them tangible.

Favourite food? The best place to get it?

I love pizza, I am obsessed with it! Carbs, cheese, toppings and hot sauce...noms. I love the Pizza Perfect that is like a 15km drive from my house, there's one closes but this one makes the best pizza. However my all time favourite pizza was one I discovered when I was at a festival 4 years ago, it was a little mom and pops caravan that made the worlds greatest pizza. I ate 9 pizza's that weekend...no shame at all ;)

Snow & Hot Chocolate or Beach & Cocktails?

I am a snow and hot chocolate girl. The colder the weather, the better! Onesies for the win!

What do you do when you aren't working on your blog?

I run a music teaching agency for musicians in Johannesburg. I work my ass off every day and love what I do. I also teach guitar, piano, drums and singing...so I live a very musical life :)

Favourite nail polish colour?

Essie - Mint Candy Apple....FAV of all time!

Favourite method of following bloggers? Instagram, Twitter, Facebook etc.

Instagram all the way! Don't get me wrong I am a FB addict and I love a good tweet here and there, but I prefer Instagram. I love seeing life through others eyes!

What is your favourite type of post to write?

I love writing all posts to be honest. I love having a platform that I can chat with other people on and just express myself. I've always enjoyed writing and this was the best option for me :)

If you could go on an adventure of your life, where would you go and what would be the best thing you do?

I would love to go to New York City at Christmas time. I love Christmas and I would love to experience a white Christmas with all the magical feeling you get like when you were a little kid..I miss that feeling :)

What is your superhero power?

I want to read minds, I am nosey as all hell and I wanna know everything!!!

If I got the camera...I told you, I'm slightly obsessed!

Motivational Monday...

Aloha! Happy Monday...can you feel Autumn creeping in here? I'm freaken loving it :)

Todays Motivational Monday is going to be some quotes from one of my idols....Kelly Cutrone. Kelly Cutrone is one of my all time inspirational people, she is someone who doesn't take no for an answer, works her ass off and doesn't take shit...

She has two books out, "If You Have To Cry, Go Outside" and "Normal Gets You No Where". When I was a young sprightly wet behind the ears 21 year old, I started a business. I had no clue what I was doing and had rose tinted glasses on when it came to the business world. After taking a few hefty knocks, feeling despondent and basically wanting to call it a day on the whole thing, I found Kelly Cutrone. I read her books and started changing the way I did things...fast forward a few years later and her books are still a guide for how I approach certain situations, I have developed my own instincts and intuition when it comes to business, but her books definitely played a huge role in my daily business dealings.

So I present to you....some Kelly Cutrone-isms....

Good Monday morning lovelies! I hope you all had a great week last week, I know I did :)

This past weekend I've been trying to realign my thought process and how I react to certain situations that are presented to me. So we're going to run with that for this week...

DIY: Watermelon Lip Scrub

With Winter hurtling towards us, I always feel like I need to squeeze the last few drops out of summer. Don't get me wrong, summer isn't my favourite season, but I'm still sad to see it go.

One of my all time favourite DIY's to make is a scrub, be it lip, face or body, I like me some exfoliation. We all know the price of some lip scrubs are a little ridiculous, so I thought I would share one of my favourites...watermelon lip scrub.

It's so freaken simple and fun to make :)

I've made a little video to make it more enjoyable, we can pretend we're making it together :)

Motivational Monday...

Hello my lovelies! How was last week for all of you? My week, lets just say that if it wasn't for my motivational reminders, I would've called it quits. Each day brought a new very intense struggle, so I am just glad we have a fresh start today.

This week, I'm following a theme of pushing through the hard times :)

Motivational Monday

Oh hello there March, hello there new series, hello my wonderful readers...I have missed you so! So if you haven't been able to tell, my year has gotten off to a hectic start. With the new business up and in full swing, I have now established a solid routine and now have time to focus on the things I love...like my blog :)

So from March I will be starting a new little series, Motivational Monday! Let me explain the thought process behind this. For the past two months I have been dreading Mondays, everything gets hectic and the stress hits and I just don't want to face a Monday. But two weeks ago I decided my mindset needed to change, because Monday is going to keep coming. So now I like to have three motivational sayings that I like to keep with me for the week! I thought "Hey, why not share it with my readers"...so here you have it :)

I have created all the images myself (obviously I haven't come up with all the quotes myself, I'm not that wise), so feel free to use them, share them, put them on your phone if you like them. I just ask that if you use them publicly, please tag me so I can see :)
