May Favourites + Giveaway (CLOSED)

I know I know, it's half way through June already and I'm only just rolling out a favourites post...but hey, I figured if I attached a giveaway to it I'd be forgiven ;)

When it comes to "favourites" posts is that I know a lot of them have categories, I highly doubt I'm going to ever follow categories when it comes to favourites. If I like something, I'm going to tell you about it. So lets jump right in shall we?

❤︎ Bioderma Sensibio H20...If you follow any bloggers/YouTubers from other countries, you may have seen this little gem being a staple in their skincare routines, and for good reason. This is by far one of the best cleansing waters I've tried to date. It removes make up like a dream and help to purify and rid your skin of any residual gunk that may be sitting on the surface. I like to use it after I've washed my face, almost like a toner.
You can pick this up at either Dischem or Clicks Pharmacies.

❤︎ Dove Pure Care Dry Oil...I actually won this in a competition that Chicara from Lip Gloss Kisses and Dove were hosting to promote the #choosebeautiful campaign. I love hair oils, especially in winter so I was eager to try this one. It's a large 100ml bottle of pure Macadamia scented awesomeness. This lightweight formula doesn't leave my hair feeling weighed down or oily. I apply to my hair after a wash, I use about two pumps and my hair is super long, and I am left with soft, shiny and manageable hair...it's like angel pee for your hair.

❤︎ Essence The Gel Polish - Serendipity...this colour is such a perfect winter colour. Essence seems to be producing hit after hit with their nail polishes lately, and this one is no exception. I love the colour as well as the easy to apply formula. I wrote an in-depth post with swatches on my chubby little fingers here!

❤︎ Real Techniques Expert Face Brush...Or as I like to call it "My Photoshop Wand". I purchased this brush a couple months back from Tasneem at Muse.sa (IG: Muse SA) as I was looking for a new foundation brush. I'd heard a lot about Real Techniques and was curious to see if it was actually worth the hype or if everyone was just being paid to say it...I'm not being paid to say this...I'd buy this brush over paying my rent any day! Luckily it doesn't cost a fortune, they are super affordable, actually for the price I paid this brush goes above and beyond. The plush taklon bristles allow you to buff your foundation right in leaving you with a flawless polished look.
These are also available at selected Foschini stores throughout South Africa.

❤︎ Dove Liquid Cotton Cosmetic Wipes...clearly I'm loving Dove lately. I bought these guys at the beginning of the year with the same mindset I have about most wipes...let the dry rubbing begin. Ha! Not with these ones. I hate hate hate trying to take my makeup off with a less than moist (hate that word) make up wipe, but these wipes are drenched. They are extremely soft and remove your make up with a few swipes. They have a fresh cottony scent and don't leave my eyes feeling like someone's poured acid into them. The best part of all is that the very last of the 25 wipes is just as moist as the first...and now I'll stop saying moist. Moist ;)

❤︎ Sorbet BB Cream Light...This little guy is my daily go to face prettfier (yes I made up a word). I have used quite a few BB Creams before but tend to either not get the coverage I'm looking for, or they leave my skin greasier than it already is or the shade just doesn't match with my ever so "sexy" corpse pale look.
BB cream stands for Blemish Balm cream, to put it in the most basic way possible, it's a creamier less concentrated form of foundation. I feel like this allows my skin to breathe and move. It also leaves me with a fresh and dewy look instead of the usual caked and cracked look. Although the colour is a little dark for my complexion, I'm all around super happy with this guy.

❤︎ The Motherland - Three Sheets To The Wind...what's this you say, a non-makeup favourite...damn straight! I attended The Motherland's Joburg Album Launch back in April and I was beyond impressed with these guys! They're a local band that speaks to the free spirit in me...yes I know, shocking I have a free spirit, she comes out occasionally when the control freak takes a break. They have a indie folk sound that makes you want to take a road trip to explore new places, meet new people and realise that life is more beautiful than you had thought...see I told you I had a free spirit. I can tell you now, these guys are just as good (if not better) live as their recorded work...which is a rare case believe me. They are currently on their Cape Town leg of their tour so I suggest if you're looking for an album/band that can make you feel proudly South African, go check out
The Motherland (you can click that little name and it'll take you to their FB page where you can see more details about their tour and where to purchase their album).
The happy kid in me loves If You Fall and my inner emo is obsessed with I Took It Way To Far. So go go go, explore some epic music!

❤︎ Beanies Cinder Toffee Instant Coffee... while you take some time out to list to some good music, I suggest you grab a cup of Beanies coffee. If you follow me on Twitter you will see I've been having a love affair with this coffee lately. Winter time is usually the time people pack on a few extra kgs, but with Beanies you can have some comfort without the extra comfort weight. This coffee is subtly flavoured giving you a warm blanket of yum with only 2 calories per cup! These are exclusive to Checkers and if you can find them I suggest you buy them ALL!!

Now let's get to the giveaway I have planned for you lovelies. Currently it's absolutely freezing in Joburg and I thought what can I give to you guys to make you feel better...other than my ridiculous ramblings....and then it hit me...a Winter Warmer Giveaway!!!

If you follow me on Instagram you will know I have a mug obsession, so when I found this mug a couple weeks back, I bought one for me and one for you guys!
