Keune So Pure Range...My Thoughts?
One of the best things about heading to a Spa is the aromatic scent that invades your nostrils and
ignites the relaxed vibes that hide dormant in your body. This my dear friends is what Keune has captured and bottled for your use when creating their So Pure Moisturising range.
If you read my most resent Test Box Unboxing, you will know that these two forest green and silver tester bottles were the most recent offering to their subscribers. I had personally never heard of Keune (I butchered the name on my Snap Chat) so I decided a little education was needed. Firstly it's pronounced Kur-na and although the bottles state Paris, this over 90 year old company began their legacy in Amsterdam in 1922.
I received the Keune So Pure Moisturising Shampoo for dry hair. Off the bat I can see this product is free from sulphates and parabens. To be honest with you, I like the sulphates in my shampoo, I know that they strip your hair of it's natural oils and can dry out already dry, damaged or fine hair, but I like having that unbelievably clean feeling hair. A couple years back I had a Brazilian treatment on my hair and that was my first introduction to the sulphate-free life, needless to say I never did it again and went back to my sulphate full shampoo. Now I'm not saying sulphate-free doesn't cleanse your hair, it does, just not as hardcore. The best way I can put it is that sulphates clean like bleach and sulphate-free cleans like lemons...get it?
Although this shampoo is sulphate and paraben-free, it does do better job of cleansing the hair than I had originally anticipated. The lather created when washing isn't that of a "regular" shampoo, but it does create a lather, which is often lacking in a sulphate-free shampoo. The So Pure range is infused with Ylang Ylang (the flower that's often thrown around and associated with day spa's), Palmarosa (think lemon grass) and Argan Oil which we all know is a tiny gift from the oil gods. I cannot for the life of me pin point the scent, some whiffs I smell flowers, others I smell candy, others I smell cherries, I can never just pin point one! I enjoyed the way it made my hair feel on the first day, but unfortunately by the second day I was already a grease ball.
The second green bottle was the Keune So Pure Moisturising Conditioner. Now this one, this I loved. I've actually finished the damn tester bottle already. The conditioner is moisturising without weighing my hair down. My hair was smooth, sleek and had a definite healthy shine to it. It carries the same scent as the shampoo, but it's not an over powering scent that only pops it's head to make an appearance a few times in your day. My locks remained manageable and easy to work with straight after the first wash.
If you're looking for a sulphate-free shampoo that will leave you with a clean feeling, I would recommend the Keune So Pure Range. If you're looking for a damn good conditioner, I suggest hightailing yourself to The Test Box website and ordering one of these, and the best part ladies, they're on special, you're welcome ;)
I'm off to go and sniff the remains of my conditioner bottle, until next time...
